How to rent a villa, booking process, payment
How do I book a villa?

To begin, select the villa you’d like to stay in on www.myvillainstbarth.com. Once you’ve made your choice, reach out to our booking team, who will handle your reservation. You can contact us directly through the website after selecting your dates and clicking the “Book” button.

Next, you’ll need to sign the rental agreement and make a deposit (30% of the total amount, or 50% for holiday periods) to confirm your booking. Once the deposit is received, your reservation will be officially secured. The remaining balance is due 60 days before your arrival (or 90 days for holiday periods).

A payment reminder will be sent seven days before the final payment is due. You can pay by credit card or wire transfer.

Please note that villas have strict cancellation policies. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance at the time of booking to protect your investment.

For full terms and conditions, please refer to: Terms of Booking.

Is the villa rental’s price per person?

Our rates apply to the entire villa; please note that festive events require prior written permission. Under certain conditions, some villas may offer a tailored rate when not all bedrooms are used. Then, the villa must not accommodate more guests than specified in the rental agreement.

What is the minimum stay requirement for a villa?

Generally, villas require a minimum stay of 5 to 7 nights, due to the extensive preparation needed to ready the property for each guest, a process that differs from hotels.

As a result, villas usually have longer minimum stays compared to hotels. During the Christmas and holiday season, a minimum stay of up to 14 nights may be required.

In certain cases, the minimum stay requirement might be waived if your travel dates fall within 45 days or fit a vacancy gap. Please feel free to contact our reservations team with any question.

How many people can stay in a villa?

Villas typically allow two guests per bedroom, adhering to double occupancy rules. While it may be possible to accommodate one additional guest beyond the maximum occupancy, this must be approved by the owner.

Extra guests may result in additional charges for a rollaway bed or a surcharge.

Please note that infants and children count towards the total guest number, so be sure to include them when making your reservation.

What happens if any damage occurs during my stay in the villa?

A security deposit is typically required before check-in and is held in case of any damage to the property or its contents. You will be asked to complete and sign a security damage authorization form as part of the booking agreement. This form legally covers any expenses related to damage, loss, or additional costs of any kind. In the event of damage, the cost of repairs, plus a 5% processing fee, will be charged.

Can I reserve the same villa for my next trip to St. Barths?

Absolutely, you can book the same villa for your next visit. We strongly suggest securing your booking as soon as you return from St. Barths to ensure availability, as the most sought-after villas are often reserved well in advance, sometimes even years ahead.

What are the cancellation policies?

Cancellation policies for villas can vary, often being quite strict due to the unique nature of these accommodations. These policies are set by the owner and are also outlined in your rental agreement.

Please note that villas generally enforce strict cancellation terms. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance when booking to protect your reservation.

For detailed conditions, please review: Terms of Booking.

What is included in the price?

All of our rental properties offer a variety of amenities, though these can differ depending on the villa. Be sure to review the detailed list of amenities for each property to see exactly what is included with the villa you’ve selected. For instance, some villas may feature a heated pool, a jacuzzi, a gazebo, a fitness room, a tropical garden, a gourmet kitchen, king-size beds, or an air-conditioned living area. The price may vary based on the range of services and amenities provided.

How are vacation rental prices determined?

Villa and apartment owners set their own rates based on a variety of factors, including the season, amenities offered, property size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, location, and other considerations they find important when determining pricing.

This setup offers significant benefits, allowing you to enjoy the space of a larger villa while only paying for the number of bedrooms you actually need. Any unused bedrooms will be securely closed off for the duration of your stay, reducing costs for the owner. Rest assured that no one else will have access to these unused areas during your stay. The entire villa, including the pool and outdoor spaces, will remain exclusively yours.

Are pets welcome in St-Barths?

You will have to check it before you book. Indeed, sometimes pets of some kinds may not be allowed in the villas. Please be sure to get the information about it before you book.
